Calyx By Prescriptives For Women. When I first purchased this in '87 it was a particularly hot, humid summer and a spritz of Calyx in that kind of weather was like going south for a couple of hours. However, it's the best perfume out there! Popular scents were often androgynous, or rich & vanilla-laden or fruity clean-aquatics. Don't get me wrong, I find all these '80s perfumes simply stunning and Bastet knows how much I love them, but it's like Calyx outshines them all because of being so different and daring. It smells so clean and crisp and unique, so you won’t smell like everyone else buying the same expensive perfume. Calyx, which originally launched in 1986 under the beauty brand Prescriptives, transformed the fragrance industry. I love it but I'm not impressed with how fast it fades for so much money. This sign is also very much comforted by the scent of camphor and anise, so Tiger Balm is also a popular scent among Crabs. Simply it's not my cup of tea. Calyx bypasses squeezing the juice from the citrus fruits and gives you the zest of the peels; especially grapefruit. Typically, a bottle of perfume lasts three to five years if stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat. Like the contrast of purple and yellow in passion fruit, green and pink in guava, yellow and red in mango, so too is Calyx perfume an unexpected combination that works flawlessly. I've been wearing it for over 25 years now and was disappointed when it was taken over by Clinique. It smells like a landmark in the territory of fruity perfumes, strong agave you do not find nowhere. And just because these two traits are not always considered merits, maybe this was the reason that Calyx never got the fame it deserved; not back in the days, and to an even lesser degree now.
